The author has a talent for creative, unique world building. It was just world building and didn’t advance the plot. It could have been replaced with a few lines saying that professor was a werewolf because the professor being a werewolf had no bearing on the story arc. I kept waiting for this rather large scene to come up again but it never did. This had no bearing on the remainder of the story. It let us know that a professor was a werewolf. This character wasn’t really an antagonist, just a bump in the plot. The scene introduced a character that didn’t like him.I kept expecting this club to play a role in the later half of the book. (Drawback- I wish he had joined this club to get more action) He later joined a different secret club. The only thing of value in this chapter was He turned down their offer to join the club. They defended the school from werewolves. Early in the book there was a scene where he was invited to an elite secret club. This book would benefit from a good edit. The character reactions in this story missed the mark several times and kicked me out of the story. There is a huge difference in behavior, interests, and reactions between these ages. Often they write a 12 year old but the character acts more like a 9 year old. Sometimes I find that authors that haven’t spent much time around kids this age miss the mark in judging how they behave. I know how kids of this age typically behave. I have taught middle school (6-8th grade) for almost 20 years.

At one point something happened and I expected the character to be appalled, but he laughed his head off. Sometimes the characters reactions seemed incongruous. I love a good thriller mystery.) Characters (This is what grabbed my attention causing me to request this book for review. But he doesn’t know how since he’s dead and she’s alive. He also remembers a tiny snippet of his old life. He quickly learns that he’s dead and this is the Afterlife. He has no memory other than his name is Peter. If he does, I hope that he continues collaborating with the co-writers to this film, Robert Styrbjörn, Pella Kagerman.Peter wakes up at a train station wearing pajamas and a tie.
THE UNLIVING REVIEW FULL
There are however rumors that Hugo Lilja is going to develop this short into a full feature. The biggest flaw however is the length, at 28 minutes is too long for shortfilm but too short for a full feature. Most notably among the actors is Jonatan Rodriguez who have done mostly soap operas, and supporting parts in various films but here gets a chance to display a wider range. The most impressive about this film is the special effects, and the acting. The director Hugo Lilja uses a very semi documentary feel to his short film and makes viewer buy into the storyline.
THE UNLIVING REVIEW HOW TO
Also the ethical discussion about human value, how to treat zombies, that is put forth in this film is better then one could have imagined. The idea of implementing zombies as workforce and then trying create a society with that element and then providing a realistic atmosphere is a challenge but this short film pulls it off. One could say that this is very serious handling of the same content that Fido (2006), a black comedy about zombies, did a few years ago. He makes a decision that will change his life forever. But one day a young man who works with altering the zombies behaviour sees his own infected mother. Not everyone is happy with this development, but vast majority is content. Using these tools the zombies do smaller jobs and become a useful part of society. One thing the survivors have learned is to domesticate the zombies by using drugs, and microchips. The few survivors has managed to build gated communities and continue civilization behind walls, heavy armed security. The films deals with an postapocalytic future where a zombievirus has been released on the population. Sweden has never been good at genrefilm making with few exceptions and therefore this shortfilm came as an surprise for me. Especially if you think she has Alzheimers. He takes her home, cleans her up, ties her young but utterly disgusting body to the bed - before the girlfriend walks in. One zombie catcher finds his mother among the unliving.

Even for the 'catchers.' You've got to watch them. Dead? Terminating an 'unliving' is a criminal offence. And keep that drug which restores memory in short supply for goodness sake. So that's out - it would be political suiciode. Finding a cure would destroy society as we know it. There's one that's an opera star with a fanbase following. Smile at the check-out, serve me some coffee. They're now the country's most valuable economic resource. Technology adapted them for modern society. In THE UNLIVING, the zombie 'infection' has been going for a quarter of a century. To find that new angle on an idea repeatedly cudgelled to death is always hard.
